Peer Review Policy

Introduction

The INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF APPLIED MANAGEMENT, FINANCE AND SOCIAL SCIENCES (IJAMFSS) is committed to maintaining a rigorous and fair peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and significance of published articles. This policy outlines the expectations for reviewers and the editorial process followed by IJAMFSS.

Reviewer Selection

Reviewers are chosen based on their expertise in the relevant field. The editorial team considers factors such as:

  • Academic qualifications and experience
  • Publication record in relevant journals
  • Active research interests
  • Potential for conflicts of interest

The journal maintains a database of reviewers and actively seeks nominations from authors and editors. Reviewers are expected to disclose any potential conflicts of interest before accepting a review assignment.

Confidentiality

All submitted manuscripts are considered confidential. Reviewers are expected to keep the content of the manuscript confidential and not share it with any third party without the author's permission.

Review Process

IJAMFSS utilizes a double-blind peer review process. The identities of both the author(s) and reviewer(s) are anonymized throughout the review process. Reviewers are provided with a manuscript and asked to evaluate it based on the following criteria:

  • Originality of research question and contribution to the field
  • Soundness of research methodology
  • Clarity and coherence of writing
  • Accuracy of data analysis and interpretation
  • Significance of findings and implications for practice or theory
  • Adherence to academic integrity standards

Reviewers are encouraged to provide constructive feedback to the authors, even if the manuscript is ultimately not recommended for publication.

Editorial Decisions

The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision on publication based on the reviewer's recommendations and their own assessment of the manuscript. The following editorial decisions are possible:

  • Accept: The manuscript is publishable without revisions.
  • Minor revisions: The manuscript can be published after addressing minor issues.
  • Major revisions: The manuscript requires significant revisions before being reconsidered for publication.
  • Reject: The manuscript is not suitable for publication in IJAMFSS.

The Editor-in-Chief will communicate the decision to the author(s) along with the reviewer's comments (in an anonymized form).

Reviewer Responsibilities

Reviewers are expected to:

  • Conduct a fair and objective review of the manuscript.
  • Declare any potential conflicts of interest.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of the manuscript.
  • Provide constructive feedback to the authors.
  • Respond to requests from the editor in a timely manner.
  • Disclose any limitations in their expertise that may hinder their ability to provide a comprehensive review.
