Waiver Eligibility

Authorship Requirements

To be eligible for a waiver of article processing charges (APCs) in the International Journal of Applied Management, Finance and Social Sciences (IJAMFSS), corresponding authors must meet the following criteria:

  • Financial hardship: Authors experiencing financial hardship may be eligible for a full or partial waiver. Evidence in the form of a letter from the author's institution or a brief explanation of their financial circumstances can be submitted for consideration.
  • Students: Students enrolled in a full-time degree program at an accredited university can apply for a waiver. A valid student ID or a letter of confirmation from their university department is required.
  • Early career researchers: Researchers within five years of receiving their Ph.D. may be eligible for a partial waiver. Applicants should provide their CV highlighting their research experience.

Manuscript Eligibility

In addition to the authorship requirements, the submitted manuscript should also meet the following criteria for waiver consideration:

  • Originality: The manuscript should present original research that has not been previously published elsewhere.
  • Quality: The manuscript should meet the high academic standards of IJAMFSS, including sound methodology, robust analysis, and a clear contribution to the field.
  • Alignment with Journal Scope: The manuscript should fall within the scope of IJAMFSS, which covers a broad range of topics in applied management, finance, and social sciences.

Waiver Application Process

Authors who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for a waiver by submitting a formal request along with their manuscript. The waiver request should clearly state the reason for requesting a waiver and provide any necessary supporting documentation.

Selection Process

The Editor-in-Chief, in consultation with the editorial board, will make the final decision on waiver requests. Decisions are based on a combination of authorship eligibility, manuscript quality, and available funds.
